Bode's 5!

Still trying to figure out how this happened, but it has somehow been five years since I was blessed with my first baby, Bode. I remember Brian and I driving him home from the hospital and saying how empty our life had been before he came along and we didn't even realize it until that moment. Needless to say, he has kept things moving since then:) He is constantly making us laugh and comes up with the craziest things. He will talk your ear off if you are willing to listen and is so stinkin' smart. Bode we love you so much and are excited to see what you come up with next!
The thing Bode is always most excited about when it comes to his birthday is his cake. He always has a very specific order which leaves me to try and make it with all the skills I am lacking:) So far he has been easy to please and loves it no matter how bad it looks as long it is what he ordered. This year he wanted a green cake with jets on it. Try and find that one at the store. This is what he got and as you can tell by the look on his face he was pleased.

I got everything ready for him the night before his birthday including his cake and put the top on it only to find the next morning that it got smashed all over the top,which only meant my cake looked even better:)
He wore this Jedi Knight birthday pin all day and a few days later, actually he still wears it sometimes, and he thought it was pretty cool.





He got two lifesabers, one to share, and he thought it was pretty much the coolest thing ever....so funny!  The day after we had a friend party at Chuck E. Cheese's where all his dreams came true.  I asked him after the party if it was as fun as he thought it would be and he said it was even more fun.  Success!!
