Two More Boys!!!

My doctor sends all his patients pregnant with twins to a perinatologist. I went on the 22nd to get an extensive ultrasound with him. I found out that our family will be joined by TWO more BOYS...identical twin boys!!! I have to admit that I was a little disappointed at first hearing the news. Don't get me wrong, I love my boys more than anything, but I wanted to be done and if we are that means I don't get one girl. But, as much as I would love a girl I know boys and am very excited!!! I only have one placenta so they have to keep a close eye on me to make sure that they don't get the twin syndrome (something like that, basically one baby gets more fluid and nutrients and that leaves the other baby with not enough). I am so grateful for modern technology that can detect this stuff and treat it! The doctor did say that the twins are looking great though and he thinks the chances of this happening of very slim, which is always good to hear.
At one point in the ultrasound the technician was trying to get a profile view of one of the babies and the other one had his hands all over his face so she couldn't for a little bit (see picture above). At one point it almost looked like he was choking the other one. We were both laughing and I couldn't help but say, 'well, there is already plenty of fighting going on at our house now so what's a little more...' Pretty much our house will be pure chaos and no one is going to want to come over or invite us anywhere for awhile.
NOTE: This is okay, we totally understand and we won't feel bad.

Wow Wow Wow!! I'm excited for you! You and your chaos can come and join our chaos anytime! Congrats on 2 more boys :) Oh, and with the twin to twin transfusion thing I have a friend who just went through that when she was pregnant with her twins last year, so hopefully it doesn't happen, but if so, she may be a good resource for you.

That's funny about the "fighting" going on during your ultrasound. I'm excited for your two more boys... I feel it's good to have someone like you raising a bunch of "future husbands/ dads", our world needs good ones!

You are going to be such a good mom to all those boys. I agree with Whitney, boys need good moms to make them strong for the future.
