Quotes to remember...

Bode says the greatest things. Here are a few quotes I don't want to forget:
*Bode loves makeup for some odd reason, and it drives Beez crazy! (The above picture is Bode's attempt to put on mascara. I found him trying to put it on the other day). Yesterday he was trying to get into it again and Beez said, "Makeup is only for girls." Bode said, "I am a girl, and my name is Bodalina." HILARIOUS!

*A couple of weeks ago we were going to put our kids to bed and my mom said she would watch them for us so we could go to the temple. Bode wasn't excited about going to bed. We were getting ready and Bode came out of his room and Beez went in to 'take care of it.' As they were talking Bode says, "You go to the temple with mommy and then I will sneek out and go play with Grandma." We tried to get him to sleep and then rushed out to make our session. My mom said that a few minutes after we left Bode came out and was ready to play. My mom said, "Your supposed to get a spankin if you get out of your bed." Bode's reply was, "Grandmas don't give spankins, just mommies and daddies." How could she even pretend to be mad after that comment, so they played:)

* We went to visit my dad a couple of weekends ago. While traveling, Beez stunk and so I turned around to Bode and said, "Daddy is stinky, Bode." Bode just smiled and said, "It's okay mom, it will go away in a minute." This is our favorite line now.

* We were all making cookies awhile ago and I told Beez that he was rolling the dough balls too big and he said, "You do it then." Bode told him to be nice to me and then put his arms around my neck and said, "It's okay mom, I think you are the best cooker." Then he tried to kiss me and his face was covered in cookie dough. We were laughing pretty hard.

* The other day I almost ran out of gas and was praying that I would make it to the gas station. I did, thankfully, so I thought this could be a good teaching opportunity and explained to Bode that I was about to run out of gas and prayed and that Heavenly Father had helped us make it to the gas station. Bode seemed to understand and that was that. Later that day we were in the car driving again and Bode saw a McDonald's playground and said, "Mom, I am going to pray that we can go to that playground." Then I hear him mumbling a prayer in the back seat and then he says, "Okay Mom, let's go to that playground." I felt guilty that we couldn't go after that sweetest little episode. It is interesting the way kids interpret things.
