The St. George and Vegas marathon trip

We went to St. George, yet again, a couple of weeks ago and got to stay for a week. It was serioulsy the best trip! No one got sick and it was plenty of time to relax. Lance and Becky and their little family came down for a few days and we also got to see Cameron and Jane which was fun! (I meant to get a picture of Cam and Jane since we never see them, but didn't quite get to it.) We took the rhino on some fun rides, swam, and relaxed.
Bode and Beez playing in the sand at the sand dunes we rode the rhino too. Bode thought this was pretty neat. I can't believe how old he is getting. He talks nonstop and is so much fun!
When Lance and Becky got there we went to the same dunes and let the boys play for awhile, however, I think we had just as much fun playing in the sand as the little boys did. Here is Becky and cute little Rylee. She is so sweet!

Beez with Lance and Becky. We love these guys and are so grateful for their friendship!
Lance and Bode played really good! Sometimes they have a hard time together but they got along really well! Please notice Bode's 'muscle shirt.' I think it is so cute and I am pretty proud of those well developing muscles. (Just don't compare them to the future football star Lance Jr.)
While in St. George Bode learned how to swim all by himself with the noodle. He loved it! He would just swim all over and would even put his head under water. He is a little fish!
Bode and I. I sure love this kid! I really can't believe how much I love him!
**********************************************
'The girls' took our yearly trip to Las Vegas the following weekend so Bode and I just stayed in St. George and had them pick us up on the way. I kept meaning to get a picture of everyone, but never quite did. Maybe I'll be able to steal one off Terri's blog.
My all time favorite things in Vegas are the Bellagio water show and gardens. The garden is really neat right now. They had all these trains, which Bode could've watched for hours (and we stayed there for almost that), and this neat miniture Bellagio, not to mention all the gorgeous flowers. I was very impressed, as usual.
It was a long trip and I think Bode was ready to get home, but was such a good sport. Have I mentioned how crazy I am about this kid yet? He has done some of the funniest things lately that I need to record. He always says, "Bode needs..." Bode needs food, Bode needs Daddy, Bode needs candy. He is always about needing these days. He also thinks that no matter what he does if he says sorry and gives you a hug then it is all better. He will throw something at me and I will pretend to be sad and he runs right over and says "hug" and gives me one. In his mind a hug cures all. Another thing he does that I think is so cute is whenever he gets hurt he says "kiss it better." Even if it is something small he runs right over and has me 'kiss it better.' He has been saying prayers for awhile now, but it melts my heart every time. He also won't let me put him to bed without scriptures and prayers, he is a good example to me already. He is so snuggly and loving and always happy! The other day we were standing in line at the store and he was looking at me for awhile, his little mind working something up, and then he finally said, "Mommy, Mommy...mommy sooo big and Bode's just little." I laughed so hard. He is so right, I am quite big at the moment. He is already being too honest. He is also very protective of me and Brian. If he thinks anyone isn't being nice or taking something from us he is quick to let them have it. Lately we have been trying to discipline him in some effective way, so we decided we would implement time out. The other day I put him in time out for doing something, about five minutes after he got out he did the same thing on purpose, then pointed at me and said, "right now," he then proceeded to put himself back in time out. This has happened several times after that. I don't know how effective this has turned out to be since it seems to be his new favortie game. Everyday he does something new it seems like. I feel so grateful that I get to be his mom! What will be next?

I love all the pictures and the cute stories of Bode. What a big kid to be swimming all by himself. It sounds like he is talking quite a bit. Hopefully, he'll keep telling you when he needs to be in time out.

"Bode needs...." some muscles to fill out that muscle shirt of his! I wonder how your marathon trips will be with two children?? You've had a lot of those with Bode lately. Hope to see you soon. Maybe Everett and I need to come to AF and go on a walk with you and Heather?

Bode is so cute! I love this age when they start talking. You have to write all of these things down- they are so adorable. I can just picture the "Right Now!" hee hee! I hope you are doing well and feeling well. My sister's daughter would say whilst she was pregnant, "When I get to be a huge huge momma..." hilarious!! Let's do lunch and talk! I still have a paper and cds to give you! Call me sweetie!

I'm so glad you shared all the cute things that Bode does. I'm looking forward to Bailee putting more sentences together. She has started but I'm sure it will just get cuter and cuter everyday. Bailee was sitting on my lap when I was reading this and she starts saying, "Babo" but then I said Bode and she said his name right and then she gave him a kiss on the computer screen.
